Its RAIN AFRICA TIME IN DURBAN

Image

In the last month there seems be lots happening in DURBAN.And it seems September is no exception 🙂

‘In Africa, rain represents life. The arrival of the first rains after the long dry season is celebrated with much thanksgiving. When the rains come the rivers fill, the grass grows, the herds fatten and prosperity blooms. So profound is Africa’s gratitude for rain, that the Sotho people welcome visitors with the expression “Khotso, Pula, Nala” (Peace, Rain, Abundance) as part of their traditional greeting.’

And thus , Durban will no longer be dry. This well known brand is internationally accredited Fair Trade and Beauty without Cruelty. Rain has built their reputation by producing quality products which are handmade and using only the highest quality natural ingredients. The new store is to launch in Gateway Theatre of Shopping Centre in Umhlanga and will open its doors at the beginning of September this year.

Now for all beauty bloggers this is amazing news as we in Durban are often left out in terms of these amazing products.

WHO ? WHAT ? IS RAIN AFRICA?

Rains roots lie in the unique manufacturing process of their quality products, as this was the vehicle through which Rain could create employment opportunities for the underprivileged. Initially Rain was purely a manufacturing wholesaling company, only much later expanding their vision by opening the first Rain branded store in 2005. This original concept soon took off and resulted in further stores having been opened since, including two international stores in the cities of Amsterdam and New York.

I love products/companies who work to enrich the lives of people by giving back to the community.More and more people are turning to products made of natural ingredients and sourcing locally made products.

PRODUCTS ?

As far as product offering, at their core they are a range of products rich in an ancient African pharmacopeia of indigenous oils that incorporate tribal Africa. Rain offer a wide variety of body care, bathroom accessories and gift sets, these are hand carved and crafted making each one an original. Rain also proudly seeks to showcase Africa and its treasures to the world.
Rain body care ranges are natural skin food, formulated using organically certified botanical actives, wild-harvested plant oils and extracts .The ingredients used in the making of Rain products are specially selected for their potent antioxidant qualities and skin-nourishing values.
The core ingredients include hydrating super-oils like Mongongo Nut Oil, Marula Oil, Kalahari Melon, Mafura Butter and Baobab Oil all combined to create a feast of vitamin rich goodness bursting with active free radical scavengers, omega oils and essential fatty acids.

Just thinking of all these amazing sourced African products , I REALLY CANT WAIT FOR NEXT SUNDAY 🙂
